What: This one-block plaza and the surrounding area is packed with department stores, upscale boutiques, tourist trinket shops, art galleries, and salons. It's a main meeting place for events and people in SF. by Rajiv S.

Why: Take the cable car up from Market Street, hop off in the square to do some shopping, and stay for dinner at night and watch the crowds come out. by Rajiv S.
