Who: Young urban professionals, hipster foodie types and anyone who believes that when it comes to food and wine, Italians do it best.

What: With 175 Italian wines, a seasonal menu and eight different types of olive oil (tastings available), Bar Bambino has the market cornered on authentic/high-end Italian dining. Try the Pollo al Mattone (chicken grilled under a brick) for a new twist on bird.

Why: Because Italy is too far and North Beach is too touristy.
